Little Nemo Nursery is an independent provider of high quality childcare in the borough of Islington. The nursery is committed to maintaining the highest standards of childcare and strives to provide a first rate professional service.
Its primary aim is to provide a safe, stimulating caring environment and help the children to develop positive relationships with other children and adults.
Little Nemo Nursery caters for toddlers from 12 months to 4 years and pre-school activities from 3 years to 5 years.
Little Nemo Nursery is owned by Didi Alfred, she is a Public Health Specialist (Health Visitor) with over 20 years experience working in the health sector and providing health promotion advice to families. She has worked with several government facilities including the Sure start children centres, providing child care need and support to families with children between the ages of 0 to 5 years.
Didi particularly enjoys working with children and parents, sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience with them. She is now confident of her abilities and skills to pursuing a nursery business on her own.
Little Nemo Nursery follows the EYFS curriculum, emphasizing personal, social, emotional, communication, and physical development as vital foundations for a child’s success. Each child has a dedicated key person who monitors their progress through observation and assessment. Children receive individualized assessments based on their specific needs. Parents have access to their child’s records anytime and receive daily activity diaries.
In this room we have the 2-4year olds. the children have a large open area equipped with resources meeting all the areas of learning for them. Messy play, home corner and sand and water are the favorites in this room. the children have easy access into the outside garden which very equipped with the areas of learning, the muddy kitchen, and the music corner are the favorites in this area.
In this room we have the 15months -2years old. the children have a large room and lots of resources available to meet their age group. they also have access to the out side area. they are black and white area specifically designed for babies. they have dedicated quiet room where the children can sleep during the day on mats. they have a separate room for changing nappies.
